Smart Charger
electronics is the latest in
micro-controller technology. Smart Charger
diagnostics is a state of the art design
providing standard features such as: AC line
latch, brownout monitoring, low-voltage
disconnect, and the most precise
temperature compensated charging regime
available. Smart Charger diagnostics
continuously monitors all critical functions
of the equipment. These functions include:
incoming utility voltage condition, over and
under voltage conditions, charger
performance, battery condition including
battery disconnect, reverse polarity
protection, and load loss detection
circuitry. Should an abnormal condition
exist that may compromise the performance of
your product, visual indicators will quickly
allow maintenance personnel to identify and
resolve any issues. Smart Charger is also
available from the factory with a
self-testing option which satisfies the
monthly periodic testing requirements in
NFPA 101 and the IBC. Audible
diagnostics are also available to bring
attention to equipment where viewing the
visual alarms becomes difficult. The Smart
Charger circuit also leaves the factory with
an on-board IR receiver ready to operate
with the Smart Charger infra-red remote (SCIR)
accessory item.
